  • Chances are, you will spend some time here. A local staple, awesome tiki bar, right on the water, an old Florida spot within walking distance or short drive.

  • Just down the street before you go over the bridge to the beach. Completely remodeled after hurricane Irma. A great place on the water with great food and atmosphere. Also, they typically have live music on Friday nights.

  • A 2 story tiki hut, a nice menu and a great place to sit on the water. They always have a one person band. Also, a great lobster roll and their bloody mary comes with a crawfish! It is a short 5 minute or so drive.

  • A local favorite, it has been there forever. Great food! It’s a windy drive, but it you go across the bridge towards the beach and take a right, you will eventually get to Casey Key Fish House. The drive is worth doing, many beautiful homes, including a home owned by Stephen King and a home once owned by Oprah.

  • This place is a drive but worth going if you are up for making the trip. It is one of our favorite restaurants, near downtown Sarasota. It is very busy and they do not take reservations for parties less than 6, so early dinner is suggested. If you do go, be sure to check out the backyard, there is live entertainment, shrimp skewers, oysters, etc., being cooked on an open pit and a “cheap beer” trough to keep you busy while you wait.

  • Instead of turning right towards the beach, you turn left, just down the street on left hand side.
